Evolution of sgraffito on the façades of Barcelona
Barcelona stands out for the great variety of architectural styles that can be seen in the different districts of the city.
Its façades are a reflection of this artistic, architectural and urban evolution.
The task of the project was to create an illustration for an editorial publication of a historical research study.
The aim of the publication was to reflect the different periods of the applied arts of sgraffito on the façades of Barcelona.
A panoramic illustration (double page - din a4 or drop-down) was chosen to represent this diversity of styles, showing some of the best examples of each architectural period.
To make this journey through time, 8 façades were illustrated placed next to each other in chronological order from oldest to the most current one.
